Dr. Hull's Review of Zinc by Carlson Labs

Zinc by Carlson Labs

What is Carlson Labs Chelated Zinc (Zinc)?

Zinc 30 mg is a dietary supplement and a full range Amino Acid Chelate.

The zinc in this highly advanced product is reacted with amino acids derived from whole rice concentrate rather than ordinary soy, yeast, or milk protein which are commonly used to chelate minerals. The special gluten-free concentrate by Carlson has a better essential amino acid profile than soy.

Dr. Hull's Review of Carlson Labs Chelated Zinc (Zinc):

If you are low in zinc, I recommend taking a zinc supplement for a limited period of time. The best form of zinc is in the form of a zinc chelate, which allows more rapid absorption of zinc into the body to be freely absorbed into the bloodstream. I also recommend taking no more than 60 mcg daily when zinc is needed.

When the body lacks sufficient amounts of zinc, you can experience negative effects, such as brittle and damaged hair and eventual hair loss, susceptibility to illness, and difficulty healing. If any of these health symptoms are present, I recommend having a hair analysis done to determine if you are low in zinc.
